What’s Included
- Ruger factory 9mm 10-round magazine
- Glock-pattern magazine-well insert (not installed)
- Manual
The semi-automatic, direct-blowback action uses a dead-blow weighted bolt to help reduce felt recoil and muzzle rise. Controls are user-configurable, with a reversible, ambidextrous charging handle and magazine release, plus a cross-bolt safety and right-side ejection port.
The 16" steel barrel is cold hammer-forged with a heavy contour and flutes, threaded 1/2x28; no thread protector installed or included. The bore condition is excellent, and the rifling is sharp. A protected-blade front sight and an adjustable ghost-ring rear sight provide a durable, easy-to-acquire sight picture.
A CNC-milled, free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard with slots at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock offers ample space for accessories. Receiver- and barrel-mounted Picatinny rail sections are included for mounting as needed.
The interchangeable magazine-well system supports Ruger SR-Series/Security-9 and Glock-pattern magazines; a Glock-pattern insert is included. This rifle ships in a capacity-compliant 10-round configuration and includes one Ruger factory 10-round magazine.
The aluminum-alloy receiver wears a Type III hard-coat anodized black finish and is marked "RUGER NEWPORT, NH USA," with a 2D/QR code adjacent to the serial area. The black synthetic stock is fixed with spacer-adjustable length of pull to 13.25", a solid, ribbed rubber buttpad, and a rear sling attachment point.
