The Garrison series delivers a forged carbon-steel frame and slide with polished flats and matte rounds, finished in traditional hot-salt blue. The build adheres to the Government-length format with a standard barrel bushing and GI-style recoil spring plug.
Its 5 in forged, match-grade stainless barrel uses a 1:16 twist for stability with .45 ACP loads. The lowered ejection port and rear-only slide serrations support reliable operation and easy manipulation while preserving the pistol’s clean lines.
Controls include a single-side thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety with memory bump. The pistol uses a skeletonized three-hole trigger and a skeletonized commander-style hammer. The mainspring housing is flat and checkered, with a smooth front strap for a classic 1911 feel.
Thin double-diamond checkered wood panels with Springfield Armory medallions provide a slim grip profile. Sighting is straightforward and durable, with a dovetailed white-dot front post and a low-profile fixed square-notch rear. Capacity is 7+1 with the included flush-base 7-round magazine. This pistol is confirmed as Springfield Armory part number PX9420, and the serial on the pistol matches the factory box label.
