The CPX-2 uses a double-action-only, semiautomatic system with a consistent DAO trigger. It features left-side controls including the slide stop and magazine release, and it will fire without a magazine installed (no magazine disconnect).
Sighting is straightforward with a 3-dot iron setup: a fixed front blade with a single dot and a two-dot rear notch. The rear sight is dovetailed into the slide and secured with a set screw.
The red/maroon polymer frame provides textured contact and finger grooves for a controlled hold. An integral beavertail helps with hand placement, and the flared magazine well opening is designed to assist with reloads.
