What's Included
- CVA Frontier Carbine .50 caliber percussion muzzleloader
This Frontier Carbine is a single-shot percussion caplock with a drum-and-nipple breech, serpentine hammer, and single trigger. Capacity is one round, true to traditional sidelock design.
The 24-inch octagonal barrel is blued steel, paired with a hardwood half-stock. Brass furniture includes the buttplate, nose cap, escutcheons, and trigger guard. A single wedge secures the barrel to the stock, maintaining the classic field-strip method.
Sighting is traditional and practical: a driftable front blade and an adjustable rear sight. This setup supports precise zeroing with round ball or conical loads appropriate for .50 caliber black powder use.
Light decorative factory engraving highlights the lock plate. The barrel is marked "Connecticut Valley Arms, Inc.," "FRONTIER," and "Black Powder Only .50 Cal." It also carries a "Spain" country stamp and Spanish proof mark, confirming its Spanish manufacture and proof.
