- Original manual
Built by F.lli Pietta as a faithful Spiller & Burr reproduction, this revolver follows the Whitney Navy-inspired, solid-frame top-strap design favored for its rigidity. It uses a single-action only percussion system with an under-barrel loading lever, staying true to the original pattern.
Materials and finishes are period-correct and clearly executed: a polished brass frame and receiver, steel barrel and cylinder, and a color case-hardened hammer. The revolver wears a one-piece smooth walnut grip for a traditional feel in the hand.
Sighting is straightforward and durable, with fixed sights consisting of a brass front bead and a fixed rear notch. The six-shot .36 caliber cylinder and 6.5 in octagonal barrel reflect the historical configuration while providing a balanced, well-pointing profile.
Made in Italy in 2024, this example carries Italian CIP PN black-powder proof marks. The factory box label indicates Dixie Gun Works distribution, adding clear provenance for collectors who track import and distributor history.
