This transferable registered-receiver STEN Mk II is set up in the classic configuration: open-bolt blowback operation with select-fire control, right-side ejection and cocking handle slot, and a left-side hinged/rotating magazine housing with latch. A cross-bolt selector marked "R" is present. The gun is chambered in 9mm Luger and feeds from 32-round box magazines for a 32+1 capacity.
Construction is true to the STEN pattern with a tubular steel receiver, a removable 7.75 in barrel, and a perforated barrel sleeve. It wears a fixed wire-frame steel buttstock with a 13.0 in length of pull. Iron sights include a fixed front blade and a simple rear sight.
This example is properly manufacturer-marked, with serial markings observed on the receiver tube and magazine housing. A British broad arrow is present on the magazine housing. Country of origin is listed as the United States.
The firearm has a new barrel and parts installed, and the bore is bright and clean. An additional unstamped stainless 7.75 in barrel, a large set of STEN-pattern magazines, a lever-type magazine loader, and a selection of spare parts add practical value for both shooting and maintenance.
As a pre-1986, fully transferable registered-receiver machine gun, it offers straightforward NFA transferability for qualified buyers while preserving the iconic STEN Mk II pattern in a U.S.-made example.
