The XC's bushingless bull barrel features a factory-integrated single-port compensator, paired with an islanded fiber-optic front sight (green) mounted on a fixed block that does not reciprocate with the slide. This configuration is purpose-built and distinctive to the XC.
The slide is cut with front and rear cocking serrations and lightening/relief cuts, and it carries an adjustable square-notch rear sight for precise zeroing. The slide is marked STACCATO XC, while the barrel hood is marked 9x19.
Built on a steel 2011 frame, this pistol uses a stippled polymer grip module with the Staccato star logo and a flared magazine well for efficient reloads. Controls include an ambidextrous thumb safety, a beavertail grip safety with memory pad, a skeletonized curved single-action trigger with a textured face, a left-side magazine release, and a standard left-side slide stop.
The full-length dustcover is smooth and railless, featuring longitudinal relief cuts; there is no Picatinny accessory rail. Capacity is 17+1 with the included steel magazines. Frame markings read STACCATO and FLORENCE, TX USA, with the dustcover marked 20★11, underscoring its USA manufacture and model lineage.
