This Kobra Carry uses a 4.25 in bushing barrel with a GI-style short guide rod and checkered recoil spring plug for classic Commander balance. It operates on a Series 70–style system without a firing-pin block, with a lowered and flared ejection port and an internal extractor for reliable cycling.
The frame is cut with a bobtail mainspring housing to aid concealment and comfort. The frontstrap wears traditional diamond checkering, while Ed Brown's proprietary Snakeskin texturing is applied to the bobtail mainspring housing and the rear slide flats, providing a consistent purchase while keeping a clean profile.
Controls are set up for confident, precise handling: a single-side extended thumb safety, a grip safety with memory pad, a long three-hole trigger, and a skeletonized rowel hammer. The magazine well opening is beveled to assist with smooth reloads.
Sight picture and low-light visibility come from a Trijicon tritium front sight with an orange ring (marked H3 25) and a low-mount rear night sight with two tritium lamps. The stainless steel slide and frame wear a matte finish and a rail-free profile. Markings include "CUSTOM BY Ed Brown" on the right slide and "Ed Brown Products, Perry, MO USA" on the frame. Capacity is 7+1 with the included 7-round magazines.
