This Boombox is built on the AR-10 pattern with a semi-automatic, direct-impingement system tailored to the 8.6 BLK cartridge. It feeds from SR-25/.308-pattern magazines and is designated as an NFA short-barreled rifle with a stated 20+1 capacity.
The 12 inch barrel is threaded at the muzzle and fitted with a factory muzzle brake. A flat-faced trigger and a telescoping stock provide a consistent, controllable interface, with the stock set to a 13.0 inch length of pull.
Controls and ergonomics reflect Q’s design language: a top-mounted charging handle positioned forward of the receiver, an enlarged right-side ejection port, no dust cover, no forward assist, a right-side bolt-catch/release, and a standard right-side magazine release.
The rifle uses a free-float handguard with Q‑Sert style slots and includes rails. The two-tone tan/gray finish, with a light tan receiver, complements the branded details: “BOOMBOX” on the upper and “LIVE FREE OR DIE” on the magwell. Made in the United States.
