Built on the Czech 805 Bren lineage, the PS1 is the civilian semi-automatic pistol variant and was imported by CZ-USA. It is CIP-proofed with the '15' year code and marked "MADE IN CZECH REPUBLIC," with the upper labeled "CZ 805 BREN PS1 5,56x45." Import marks from CZ-USA, Kansas City, KS are present.
The 11 inch cold hammer forged barrel is threaded 14x1 LH and paired with an adjustable gas regulator integrated into the front gas block. The operating system is a semi-automatic, short-stroke gas piston with a rotating bolt.
A full-length 12 o'clock Picatinny top rail provides continuous mounting space, while the lower handguard carries a 6 o'clock rail with slotted side panels. Factory CZ folding iron sights are installed. The pistol uses a left-side charging handle and an ambidextrous safety selector for straightforward handling.
The receiver is aluminum with a polymer frame, and the pistol rear end-cap includes sling attachment points. Matching serial numbers are present on the receiver window plate and gas block. Overall length is approximately 22.75 inches, and capacity is 30+1 with the included magazine.
Documentation includes a CZ factory test target showing a 25 m, 3-shot 21 mm dispersion using Sellier & Bellot 62 gr, dated 15.6.2015, matching this firearm's serial.
