The Comp submodel pairs a forged steel slide in matte black with a 5" bushingless, ported bull island barrel. The barrel island carries a pinned front sight, while the slide is cut with lightening windows at the muzzle and a large top window that exposes the barrel. The barrel hood is marked "CAL 9mm LUGER."
The slide is optics-ready with the cover plate installed, and this pistol includes an RMR-pattern optic plate with a charging handle. A pinned front sight is present; rear sighting configuration depends on the installed plate or optic.
The 2011 platform metal frame wears a matte black finish and a polymer double-stack grip module featuring aggressive texture, a flared magwell, and the MAC shield logo. Controls include an ambidextrous manual thumb safety, a grip safety, a squared/relieved trigger shoe, and a skeletonized commander-style hammer. The dustcover has no accessory rail.
Chambered in 9mm Luger, the full-size MAC 9 DS Comp offers a 17+1 capacity and comes with two steel 17-round magazines. Markings include "MILITARY ARMAMENT CORP. KNOXVILLE, TN, MAC 9 DS TISAS MADE IN TURKEY," reflecting manufacture by Tisas in Turkey with MAC importer markings in Knoxville, TN.
Taken together, these features deliver a modern, double-stack 1911-style pistol that is ready for optics, thoughtfully equipped out of the box, and positioned as a strong value for shooters seeking a full-size SAO 9mm.
