Chambered in .380 ACP, this Model 1908 uses a simple blowback, single-action system with an internal hammer. It is equipped with both a manual thumb safety and a grip safety, aligning with the model’s well-regarded carry features. Capacity is 7+1, and barrel length is 3.75 inches.
The pistol wears a nickel finish on its steel slide and frame, complemented by vertical rear slide serrations and fixed sights consisting of a half-moon front blade and a rear notch integral to the slide. A lanyard loop is fitted at the heel of the grip frame.
Factory-style markings remain clear: the right side of the slide reads "COLT AUTOMATIC CALIBRE .380 HAMMERLESS." The left side carries "COLT’S PT. F.A. MFG CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.
PATENTED APR. 20, 1897. DEC. 22, 1903." with the Rampant Colt logo at the rear left of the slide. Inspection and proof marks include the Colt "VP" in triangle on the left front bow of the trigger guard and a small "K" stamp at the right front of the slide near the muzzle.
Custom details give this example added visual appeal: a gold-colored scroll motif at the frame/slide junction near the safety and smooth white mother-of-pearl style grips without medallions. These tasteful additions pair well with the nickel finish while preserving the model’s classic lines and markings.
