This Mossberg Model 500A is a 12-gauge pump-action shotgun configured with a 24 inch smoothbore, fixed cylinder choke barrel featuring muzzle porting, plus a receiver-top Weaver/Picatinny-style rail. It is a United States-made, aluminum-alloy–receiver 500A variant with wood furniture and a tang-mounted ambidextrous safety, offered here in very good condition.

The 24 inch smoothbore barrel uses a fixed cylinder choke and features muzzle porting. It is a plain (no rib) barrel configuration that keeps the setup straightforward and durable.
The receiver is aluminum alloy with an anodized finish and is drilled and tapped. It is fitted with a Weaver/Picatinny-style accessory rail to mount sights as desired.
The action employs twin action bars, dual extractors, an anti-jam elevator, and steel-to-steel lockup. This 500A variant is chambered for 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells and feeds from a 5+1 tubular magazine.
Controls and furniture are equally practical: a tang-mounted ambidextrous safety, wood stock and forend with pressed checkering, a ventilated rubber recoil pad, sling swivel studs, and a 13.75 inch length of pull.
