Limited to 1 of 1776, the Independence edition pairs a distressed American-flag Cerakote finish with a limited-edition MJD modular double-stack polymer grip module, both carrying stars-and-stripes theming. The finish work was custom-applied by Hillbilly Cerakote, and the grip texture enhances purchase while underscoring the commemorative design.
Purpose-built for the 2011 platform, this full-size .45 ACP runs a 5" stainless steel, bushingless bull barrel that is ramped and finished with a target crown. The single-action-only system is complemented by a flat, skeletonized, match-grade trigger for a clean, consistent break.
The slide is optics-ready with a dedicated optic cut and a cover plate. A red fiber-optic front sight drives fast sight indexing, while an internal extractor supports consistent case control. Distinct geometric machining on the slide completes the modern profile.
Controls and ergonomics include an ambidextrous thumb safety, a beavertail grip safety with memory bump, and a flared magwell to speed reloads. The modular double-stack grip and accessory rail with three slots support duty or range configurations as needed.
Markings and details include "KIMBER TROY, AL USA" on the dust cover underside, an optic cover plate retained by screws and marked "011-270," and a front sight base marked "TAG" and "KIMBER." The cover plate preserves a clean profile before mounting an optic.
