The Smith & Wesson Model 27-2 is a magnificent, heavy-hitting revolver that will make an excellent choice as a personal protector, home defender, or collector's piece. This 1978 model boasts a nickel-plated finish over the pre-lock frame and a hard-to-find 5" pinned barrel, along with a recessed cylinder with an "N" stamp. The color case-hardened target hammer and trigger, along with the checkered Cocobolo target grips, fill the hand with a sense of security, making this revolver a true stunner.
This revolver also tells a story, as it belonged to a long-time Phoenix Police Detective, with the detective's license number finely etched on the right side of the frame. The Model 27-2 delivers six rounds of 357 Mag and is based on the original Model 27, which was first introduced in 1935 and remained popular throughout the Great Depression.
