Product Description

This Arisaka Type 99 Series 11 bolt-action rifle is being sold in poor condition for PARTS or REPAIR ONLY, showing heavy signs of prior use and handling. A missing piece in the action has causes the bolt to be unsecured, making the firearm unsafe to shoot. The sear and sear spring is broken, thus a new trigger assembly is needed to make the trigger functional again. The sporterized stock is made of wood, which have scratches, gouges and some cracks and the finish is blued, which most of it has faded. The rear sight is a fixed aperture and the front sight is an adjustable drift triangular post.

It has a capacity of 5+1 and a barrel length of 26". The bore condition is fair and the rifle has been sporterized. It was manufactured in the Nagoya Arsenal plant during the Series 11 of Arisaka production. Despite its poor condition, this Arisaka Type 99 is still a unique and historical piece that would make a great project for the seasoned gunsmith or someone wanting to learn gunsmithing. It was a primary rifle used by the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II and has since become a collector's item.
