J.C. Higgins was the sporting-goods brand of Sears, Roebuck and Co. in the United States, founded in 1908 by Sears and named for John Higgins. Sears retired the J.C. Higgins brand in 1962 and replaced it with the Ted Williams name. Its legacy centers on bolt-action sporting rifles built on FN Mauser and later Husqvarna actions by contract manufacturers.
