Lakefield Arms Ltd. was a Canadian firearms manufacturer founded in 1969 by Ernie Braund, Paul Scott, Dave Wilson, Mary DeCarlo, and Frank Dempsey. In 1994, Lakefield production was acquired for Savage Arms’ rimfire operations, and the former Lakefield facility now operates as Savage Arms (Canada) with products sold under the Savage Arms brand. Lakefield’s defining legacy is in rimfire rifles that evolved into Savage’s current rimfire lines.
