Maadi Company for Engineering Industries (Factory 54) was an Egyptian small-arms maker founded in 1945. It was a state-owned enterprise placed into liquidation on March 24, 2020, and on April 11, 2023 the general assembly moved to finalize liquidation and discharge the board; Maadi-branded small arms are no longer in current production. Its defining legacy is Egyptian AKM-pattern rifles exported under names such as MISR and "Maadi AK."
