The original Denver-based manufacturer is defunct; the Redfield name was revived after 2008 and, since April 2021, has been owned by Academy Sports + Outdoors as a private-label optics line, not an independent firearms maker. Redfield’s enduring legacy is in riflescopes, including innovations like the Accu-Range rangefinding reticle and the Widefield “TV screen” view.
