Werndl Guns for Sale

Josef & Franz Werndl & Company, a weapon factory and sawmill in Oberletten, Austria, was founded in 1864 by Josef and Franz Werndl. In 1869 the firm became Österreichische Waffenfabriksgesellschaft (ŒWG), later Steyr‑Werke AG and ultimately part of Steyr‑Daimler‑Puch AG; the firearms lineage continues today under Steyr Arms. Werndl’s lasting mark is its single‑shot breechloading service rifle adopted by the Austro‑Hungarian Army.
