International Harvester Company was founded in the United States in 1902 by Charles Deering, Cyrus Hall McCormick Jr., and George Walbridge Perkins. In 1986 it was reorganized as Navistar International, and the agricultural line continues under Case IH. Its defining firearms legacy is Korean War era U.S. service rifle production under government contract from 1953 to 1956.
