Built on the No.4 Mk I action, this rifle uses the classic Lee-Enfield rear-locking, cock-on-close bolt with a round knob handle. It includes the integral square charger guide and feeds from a detachable double-stack 10-round magazine.
The sporter conversion centers on a 21 in steel barrel that has been shortened and free-floated. The fore-end has been cut to approximately half length, the upper handguards were removed, and the bayonet lugs are absent. Sling swivels are installed for carry.
Sight configuration is straightforward and durable. The front sight is a non-factory squared post on a banded ramp. The rear sight ladder has been removed, with the fixed battle aperture retained on the original No.4 Mk I base.
The hardwood stock wears a varnished light-brown finish and includes a brass butt-plate with trap. Length of pull measures 13.25 in. Metal components carry a blued/black-oxide finish, and the barrel knox form shows an ENGL import mark. Origin is the United Kingdom.
