Licensed by Colt and produced at the Estado Fabril Militar de Armas Portátiles (Rosario), the Sistema Colt earned a reputation as one of the highest-quality foreign 1911 clones. This example comes from the early 1946 serial block (30001–37628), aligning it with the first post-war production run for Argentine forces.
The forged carbon-steel frame and slide retain their uniform dark gray/black parkerized finish, complemented by vertical rear slide serrations cut at roughly 24 lines per inch. All military markings are clear, preserving both collectibility and historical value.
Mechanically, the pistol maintains its original wide-spur rowel hammer, fixed blade front sight, dovetailed U-notch rear sight, and lanyard-loop arched mainspring housing. The single-action, recoil-operated system follows the classic 1911 pattern, delivering the familiar trigger feel and manual of arms that shooters expect.
