Dirección General de Fabricaciones Militares – Fábrica Militar de Armas Portátiles "Domingo Matheu" (DGFM-FMAP) was an Argentine state arms maker founded in 1942 by the Argentine government under the leadership of General Manuel Savio. The FMAP "Domingo Matheu" factory was deactivated in 1998 with small-arms production moved to the FM Fray Luis Beltrán facility, and in 2019 DGFM was reorganized as Fabricaciones Militares Sociedad del Estado; the DGFM-FMAP marking is now a historical designation rather than an active brand. Its legacy centers on licensed production of the FN FAL rifle.
