Built in Japan during the early 1980s Mitsui Chicago import window, this SKB XL 900 Skeet blends lightweight handling with competition-ready features. Its alloy receiver keeps the gun down to about 6¼ lb while showcasing factory full-coverage scroll engraving. What’s Included
- SKB XL 900 Skeet 20 Gauge semi-auto shotgun
The gas-operated XL action tames recoil and runs reliably with standard 2¾" target loads. A reciprocating bolt handle and proven cross-bolt safety keep operation straightforward and familiar.
The 26" steel barrel wears a ventilated rib topped with a single white front bead for a clear sighting plane. Its fixed Skeet choke delivers the wide, even patterns favored in close-range clay games.
Checkered walnut furniture, finished in a deep gloss lacquer, provides a classic look and secure grip. The stock’s 14" length of pull, ventilated recoil pad, and white-line spacer add comfort and 1980s styling.
Factory scroll engraving covers both sides of the alloy receiver, complemented by NP proof marks, SK inspection code, and Mitsui & Co. (U.S.A.) Inc. Chicago IL import stamp. The serial prefix “S” denotes 20-gauge production and ties this gun to the sought-after early XL series that later evolved into the SKB Model 1900.
