SKB Arms Company was founded in Japan in 1855 by Shigyo Sakaba. After the original Japanese operation ended production in 2009, the SKB brand and designs have been U.S.-owned since 2010, with new SKB-branded shotguns produced in Turkey under license. Its defining legacy is Japanese-made double-barrel shotguns, widely imported to the U.S. under Ithaca and Weatherby names.
