This rifle bears the “dou 43” roll mark, identifying manufacture at Brno during late spring–summer 1943. The serial suffix “e” confirms placement in the fifth production block, adding historical context for collectors.
Receiver, bolt, floor-plate, trigger guard, rear sight, and stock all share matching numbers, a key factor in maintaining wartime authenticity. Waffenamt eagle proofs and Nazi eagle-over-swastika acceptance marks remain clear and legible.
The laminated hardwood stock features a cupped butt-plate, semi-pistol-grip contour, and correct side sling slot. Standard K98k hardware, including bayonet lug, stacking rod, and the original cleaning rod, is present and functional.
A 23.6-inch stepped barrel, hooded front post, and tangent rear sight graduated to 2000 meters deliver the proven ballistic performance of the 7.92×57mm cartridge. The traditional flag safety and five-round internal magazine complete the period-correct configuration.
