This rifle is built on a Smith-Corona U.S. Model 1903A3 bolt-action receiver with controlled-round feed and a wing safety on the bolt sleeve. Chambered in .30-06, it uses an internal box magazine with a 4+1 capacity, offering dependable cycling and feed control.
The barrel is a 24-inch blued carbon steel tube with a tapered sporter profile, giving a balanced, field-ready configuration. Open sights are fitted, including a Williams adjustable rear barrel sight and a hoodless ramp front sight with a bead insert for clear, practical aiming.
An aftermarket Monte Carlo sporter stock provides a raised comb and a right-side cheekpiece for a consistent sight picture. The stock is accented with a decorative diamond inlay, a contrasting forend tip with a white-line spacer, and sling-swivel studs for carry. A Pachmayr White Line ventilated recoil pad with spacer helps manage recoil and extends the length of pull to 15.0 inches.
The metal carries a blued finish for a classic look, and the overall sporterized conversion focuses on practical enhancements suited to field use while retaining the 1903A3’s proven action.
