Product Description

    Smith-Corona M1903A3 .30-06, A4 Sniper Configuration with 24 in. 2024 Barrel and Hi-Lux M82G2 Scope

Built on a 1943 Smith-Corona U.S. Model 03-A3 receiver, this rifle is configured in the M1903A4 sniper pattern with a modern 24 in. barrel dated 2024 and a Hi-Lux M82G2 reproduction scope. It pairs parkerized steel with a walnut scant-grip stock and deletes iron sights for a clean, scope-focused setup that mirrors the classic WWII configuration using current-production components.

Specific Condition Notes: The metal and stock surfaces show minor scratches and small blemishes in the finish.

    What’s Included

    • Springfield Armory-marked tan leather M1907-style sling
    • Hi-Lux Optics M82G2 scope with period-correct reticle
    • Redfield Jr-style one-piece base with windage-adjustable rear base
    • Non-adjustable split rings

This rifle uses a Smith-Corona M1903A3 receiver manufactured in 1943 and is configured in the M1903A4 sniper style on that receiver. It is not an original USGI A4, but a purpose-built configuration that follows the A4 pattern with scope-only sights and the correct A4-style stock relief/notch on the right side; the receiver’s left wall remains the standard 03A3 profile (no receiver relief cut).

The barrel is a modern replacement dated 2024, measuring 24 in. and marked with a large block L. Iron sights have been deleted, and the bolt handle is bent for scope clearance, consistent with the A4 pattern. The rifle retains the magazine cutoff lever on the left side and a fixed internal 5-round magazine.

Optics are handled by a Hi-Lux M82G2 scope, a reproduction of the WWII M82 pattern with a period-appropriate reticle, mounted on a Redfield Jr-style one-piece base with a windage-adjustable rear base. Non-adjustable split rings mirror the classic mounting approach, with a blued/black finish on the scope complementing the rifle’s parkerized metalwork.

The walnut scant-grip stock has an oil finish and includes a full-length upper handguard, two barrel bands, sling swivels, and a steel trapdoor buttplate. Hardware is parkerized steel with a stamped trigger guard and floorplate. Length of pull measures 13.0 in., offering a traditional service-rifle fit and feel.
