    What's Included
    • Savage-Anschütz Model 164 Sporter .22 LR rifle

Built on the Anschütz Model 64 action, this rifle uses a low-swept bolt handle with a round knob for smooth cycling and a compact profile. The steel receiver includes integral 11 mm dovetail grooves for rimfire rings or diopter bases. A sliding magazine catch and a two-position sliding safety round out the action features. Capacity is 5+1.

The 24 inch tapered steel barrel is chambered in .22 LR. The tapered profile keeps the rifle well-balanced while maintaining stability for precise shooting.

Factory iron-sight provisions include a hooded, ramped front base (front insert/blade required; currently missing) and an open rear on a ramp, offering traditional sighting options once a replacement front element is installed.

The wood Monte Carlo stock has a left-side cheekpiece, checkering at the forend and pistol grip, and a hard buttplate with a white-line spacer. Length of pull measures 13.5, offering a traditional sporter fit.

Markings include the "Savage – Anschütz" rollmark and "Made in West Germany" barrel marking, along with Ulm antler and eagle/N nitro proofs and a '72 date code. This configuration reflects the early-1970s Savage–Anschütz collaboration with U.S. import branding.
