Savage–Anschutz was a joint brand from the United States and West Germany, founded in 1964 by Savage Arms and J. G. Anschütz. The partnership ended in 1981; Anschütz rifles continue under the Anschütz name (now imported in the U.S. by Anschütz North America), and Savage Arms operates independently. Its defining legacy is precision rimfire target rifles built around Anschütz Match actions.
