Built on a boxlock, hammerless, break-action configuration, this Specialty Grade SBT carries hallmark Hunter Arms Co. markings on the barrel: "HUNTER ARMS CO. MAKERS FULTON, N.Y. REG. U.S.
PAT. OFF., PAT'D MAY 28, 1901." It also bears the circular maker’s mark. The serial number prefix "S" denotes Specialty Grade status, with matching serials observed on the barrel, watertable, and forend iron.
The 34-inch barrel is topped with a ventilated rib supported by rectangular posts and set up with twin beads (front and mid) for a clean sight picture. An automatic ejector is present in the forend iron to speed extraction on the trap line.
Factory engraving includes detailed scrollwork and game-dog panel scenes, presenting the refined aesthetic associated with Specialty Grade guns. The checkered walnut pistol-grip stock and beavertail forend provide a stable, comfortable hold suited to trap shooting.
