What’s Included
- 1x 7-round unmarked 1911-pattern single-stack steel magazine
Produced by DGFM (FMAP) in Argentina under license, this Sistema Colt Modelo 1927 follows the M1911A1 pattern in a full-size, steel-frame format. It is chambered in .45 ACP with a 5" barrel and a 7+1 capacity, delivering the traditional 1911 handling and manual of arms.
The left side of the slide is marked "EJERCITO ARGENTINO / SIST. COLT CAL. 11.25 mm MOD. 1927" with the national crest, and the right side is marked "D.G.F.M. - (F.M.A.P.)".
These authentic service markings place this pistol on the ATF Curio & Relic list when so marked, adding documented historical interest for collectors.
Key 1911 features include a single-action, locked-breech tilting-barrel system, a short trigger, and both a grip safety and thumb safety. The wide spur, checkered hammer and fully checkered two-screw grip panels provide period-correct control surfaces on a robust steel frame and receiver.
Sighting equipment is the classic GI pattern with a narrow front blade and a small rear notch. The slide wears rear vertical serrations and a standard ejection port, maintaining the traditional service configuration associated with the Modelo 1927.
This example has matching serial numbers on the frame and barrel, a desirable detail for collectors evaluating originality within the DGFM (FMAP) Sistema Colt lineage.
