This Japanese-made SKB Model 885 Sporting is a sideplate over/under with dense scroll engraving and a coin/satin silver finish, built by the New SKB Arms Company. It features 32 in barrels with a ventilated rib, the SKB Inter-Choke system with SK and IC tubes, and a single selective gold-tone trigger. The gun carries proof markings, a jeweled monobloc, automatic ejectors, and a well-finished walnut stock, representing the discontinued Japanese-made 885 Sporting series.
Condition
Overall Condition: Very good condition, showing only light, superficial signs of prior handling or use.
Bore Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Specific Condition Notes: Very minimal external wear. The locking mechanism retains a fair amount of life with a very good barrel-to-receiver fit. The bottom firing pin shows slight wear. The automatic ejectors are properly timed.

The sideplate receiver wears a coin/satin silver finish with dense scroll engraving across the sideplates, bottom, top lever, and trigger guard. The trigger guard is marked "SPORTING," and the gun is marked "PROOF TESTED" and "MADE BY NEW SKB ARMS COMPANY JAPAN," confirming manufacture by the New SKB Arms Company.
The 32 in barrels use the SKB Inter-Choke screw-in system and include SK and IC choke tubes. A ventilated rib with bead sights provides a clean sighting plane, and the monobloc is jeweled (engine-turned). Chambers are 3 in, and capacity is 2.
Controls and operation include a single selective gold-tone trigger, a top-tang safety, and automatic two-piece ejectors that are properly timed. A Deeley-style forend latch secures the beavertail forend.
The glossy walnut stock features discrete side checkering panels, and the beavertail forend has wrap-around checkering for confident handling. The stock has a pistol grip with a neutral grip and slight right-hand cast-off, a rubber recoil pad, and a 14.5 in length of pull.
