Noble Manufacturing Co., Inc. was founded in the United States in 1946 by Graham Noble Davidson. Operations ended by the early 1970s, and in 1972 Smith & Wesson purchased the patents and tooling for its pump-action shotgun design and produced it as the Model 916; the Noble brand did not continue. Noble’s legacy centers on utility-grade rimfire slide-action rifles.
