Founded: 1794

Fábrica de Armas de Oviedo in Spain is a historic state arsenal for rifles, progressing from 19th-century Rolling Block production to large-scale manufacture of Mauser-system service rifles that armed Spain from the 1890s into the early 20th century. Its rifles are distinguished by rugged, service-grade 7×57 mm bolt-action construction and the “Fábrica de Armas Oviedo” receiver marking, reflecting a focus on licensed and domestic military patterns rather than commercial sporting designs.
