Stevens Arms was founded in 1864 in the United States by Joshua Stevens. The company was acquired by Savage Arms in 1920; the Stevens name was discontinued in 1991 and revived in 1999 as a value-priced line of rifles and shotguns sold by Savage. Stevens’ legacy centers on affordable single-shot .22 rimfire rifles, and it is credited with introducing the .22 Long Rifle cartridge. On FirearmLand, the most frequently listed Stevens models include the Model 311, Model 320, and Model 94.
